But you could be wearing normal gloves and then turn into a werewolf and the transformation would cause your hands to rip the gloves into just fingerless gloves!

I dunno. I guess because it'd be cool to have finegrless gloves that were normal gloves that were ripped into fingerless gloves as your hands grew into wolf-like claws. @_@
