Level 7 Hard to Find? Hah!

Level 7 should not be on the top 10 strangest levels for being hardest to find. Apparently, the guy missed the old man who says "There are secrets where fairies don't live." Let's see. Fairies usually live in ponds. There is a pond without a fairy. Maybe if you do something, then you uncover a secret.

It's really not that hard. You don't need to cheat, as the guy claims. I remember finding it as a little kid back when the game came out. It's common sense and logic.

However, I would put level 7 on the list for a different reason: It's much easier than level 6. I remember doing level 7 on purpose prior to 6 because I found it easier.

ahh how i miss the NES with its vaugue clues on what to do next and extreme crazy difficultly.

Knowing to use a certain item in a certain place from a vague clue you can easily miss make this level hard to find. although of course for some it would be easy or they just got lucky to put two and two together.

I doubt he grew up during the time period. Back then we attempted bombing, burning, and pushing everything, we'd use the flute on every screen, and kill every monster, to see if a passage would open.

Pretty sad how lazy things have become, when it's too much of a bother to experiment and explore anymore.

................. Thats it..... Game over man...... GAME OVER!!!!

this dungeon is on this list is the simple fact that, without cheating you have absolutely no way of knowing how the heck to get to the level. Level 7 is at the bottom of an otherwise useless pond.

Failure. As a 7 year old kid in 1987 I was able to find it. And I don't remember there even being cheats or Faqs around at that time. This was even before Nintendo Power.

I'd love to see this guy play Simon's Quest. I remember somehow finding all the solutions on my own. Yeah, most take a lot of luck and experimentation, but it can be done.

People who shun NES games for silly reasons don't know what they are missing.

Level 7 of the first quest? Come on. That empty pond is practically screaming at you.

If anything, level 8 of the second quest if the one that no one would legitimately find. It's possible to try brute force tactics on every screen but still miss that one.

I had way more trouble with the moblin inside level 7 than finding level 7 itself.

GRUMBLE.. GRUMBLE..

100% agreed. I'd put this as the hardest level to find of any game I've played. Level 7, second quest, is pretty hard as well however.
