MuffPosted 6/9/2008 10:48:28 AM | I'm gonna download it when I get home, I'll let you know then. How many blocks is it you know? --- A toad on a stone sheds no leaves... |
Goro123Posted 6/9/2008 3:15:53 PM | 21 blocks, and 1 block for save state. It's a fun game: 7 worlds, 21 levels. If you can get over the cutesy premise of the game (you play as a baby and the whole game has this 'candy' theme about it), it's a pretty solid platformer.
In some ways it reminds me of SMB2 (Doki Doki Panic style). Don't know why... --- Not changing this sig until Lufia 1 or 2 is made available for download on the Wii VC. Started May 30/08. |
Goro123Posted 6/9/2008 5:00:56 PM | Actually it seems like a food theme at this point. I'm in the second world now and it went from 'candy' to 'vegetables'. --- Not changing this sig until Lufia 1 or 2 is made available for download on the Wii VC. Started May 30/08. |
MuffPosted 6/9/2008 6:06:40 PM | Just played the first world, I'm liking it, the music is catchy and the level colourful. World 1-2's digging level kind of caught me off guard but it was an ok to mix things up.
it's better than a lot of what the NES has to offer that's for sure.

ndog_montrealPosted 6/9/2008 6:57:02 PM | I've always loved this game. for some reason, my local corner store had an import copy for rent when i was a kid.
must have taken it out a dozen times loved it then and love it now i neve thought i would get to play it again actually never knew what it was called since the store i rented it from had it labeled "baby mario" Today is a truely happy day for me!!!
PS... not just candy and vegetables, but also dairy, toys, blocks, underwater.... every world is different... i think there's a way to select your level from the start screen, so you can sample them all (kind of cheap though) |

Goro123Posted 6/9/2008 8:43:39 PM | I'm about halfway through, in World 4. It's fun, looks like you're inside a computer. Not real difficult at all, but it does get hard.
World 4-2 also has you playing upside down! Haven't seen that in any NES game since Mega Man 5 (Gravity Man stage). --- Not changing this sig until Lufia 1 or 2 is made available for download on the Wii VC. Started May 30/08. |
