I'm trying to think of ideas to increase difficulty that are self imposed.
I like using all sorts of weapons and skills, so that is out.
I was thinking "No Hats/helmets" and no items mid-battle (changing weapons is ok tho, just no healing, amor seco essence's or cheeses, etc).
I never used "Call team" anyway, so that's not an issue.
What are your thoughts?
I think that would noticeably increase the difficulty while at the same time it's easy to follow.
"Perhaps he just looked at his hands & noticed that his fingers were unable to shoot bullets"- on Barret frm FFVII
Those really wouldn't make much of a difference for me, as I am absolutely terrible at updating equipment, I remember having a bandanna at the end of the game....
I think you should try the standard challenges, like solo run, speedrun, etc.
The Metal King Slime flees!
Do a low level game.
"Badassfully You Big Stupid Jellyfish"- Bubin, Mass Effect 3
Most effective does not always equate to most fun.
Hero only fisticuffs only.

You could try a no equipment run...... use whatever weapon you want.... but no shield/armour/helmet/accessory. You could even use cursed equipment as an additional penalty.
I use more ellipses then any person should ever need to..... ever.

Only use what you haven't used before.
Would require a bit of memory though, and you could play it any number of ways... such as only banning stuff you've used heavily before.
Always use bang and frizz? While I guess you're stuck with sizz and crack this time around.
TDL? Well, time to try those other whip skills.
Monster team? Well, you could allow it or not, but either way, you could only use monsters you haven't used before.
Depending on how thorough your memory is- and how thorough your previous playthroughs were, you could even carry it on to equipment in varying degrees.
You should still have a great degree of variety- it just forces you to try and succeed with the 2nd and 3rd and 4th option- depending on how thorough you've been so far.
No Shop Run. Live off the land.
Sure, many of the best pieces of equipment ARE found, but that's endgame, and you have to make it there first.
Oh. Forgot to add: You CAN alchemize, but only within the challenge rules. You can't buy the ingredients.

That live off the land theory would really make it difficult why dont you try equip only weapons and forget about angelo i m pretty sure it can be done and im pretty sure that it will screw up the storyline but hey when you are on level 35 or so and angelo is on level 14 that will be interesting
