Ya know you're prolly underleveled when random battle enemies are less in level than the story bosses. Er, if anything, I'd say it's the opposite: you know you're overlevelled if random battle enemies are higher-levelled than story enemies. I can't imagine the design team would have intended for that to happen, it doesn't really make much sense. Anyway, for Wiegraf, don't use Feather Boots; Earth Slash is no real threat (Wave Fist does more damage anyway). Use a Chameleon Robe and a Bracer. If memory serves, Geo at that level has 7 base PA, so Twist Headband and Bracer will make this 12, you being Capricorn makes this 15. This should let you 2HKO Wiegraf outright (so no counter on the second hit). You may need some luck with him not countering (or you dodging it). Granted, it's been years and I forget what my own setup was here; it's possible I decided to drop some PA (so I'd still trigger 2 counters) in favour of getting 8 speed (for Velius) or 5 move. Without bracer I can take him out at my levels in two hits, the problem is, he counters my first because he goes first until I get a speed point and a beret. I have horrid speed right now. As for my other comment, I agree a little, but when random's are 10s level below story its seems bit much. No worries. Bracer isn't really needed, though I wonder if that would allow me to knock him into crit with one shot? I don't think so, at least not without a critical on my part. Yeah, you may have to reset the battle until he fails his counter (happens around a third of the time) or you're able to block one of his attacks. Wiggy the Final, still resettting Easily took wiggy with diamond shield and drac mantle, he had one earth slash hit me. Problem is taking out velius before Ramza crystalizes. My ladies do 10o-150ish a shot, but can take a grand total of 2 hits. Clops with 40 faith hits for 180ish, and they have 220 or so HP each, so anything else floors them. The problem is I cannot mid charge him. He charges pell, but with short charge and the speed discrepancy he gets it off before we can act to try to get out of range or can mid charge for enough to end it. I've managed like 750ish damage before ramza either crystalizes or clops goes off and takes out my already titaned ladies. So I decided to grind for bracers to help get that damage though. Being broke and fairly low level, it takes usually 2 or 3 battles for a lone bracer. Gonna try super MAX PA set-up and see if that extra 3 PA will give me enough to do it. Also, statues of demons get in the way. If I had even move +1 I could move ramza after gettting the extra turn far enough away that I couldn't be targetted and could proceed to plink away with geomancy, but thats not doable with 4 move unfortunately. I am at the extent of range of summons (which the aegis shields I have on everyone else don't help much with due to 100% hit) if I striaght retreat, and velius decides to not try to come down and smack me in my side for the big bad 82% chance to hit, because I could probably survive that. He just charges titan and being capricorn with 70 faith and usually like 150 or so HP after eating an earth slash/wave fist in the start...yeah. Gonna grind a few bracers out and try again see if they give me that extra push. Anyone happen to know when geomancer's get their speed to 8 naturally? Geomancer SCC Wiggy the Final, I killed that *****! reset= a lot So I got everyone but ramza a bracer. Levels were 26 ramza, 25/25/24/24. Ramza had Plat sword, diamond shield, twist headband, chameleon robe, and dracula mantle. Eat earth slash, smack in side with back to water, guard counter. Guard normal attack. Attack from behind for the kill. 2 of my girls were plat sword, diamond shield, twist headband, power sleeve, bracer, one was aegis shield and wizard mantle. Velius comes. I have a bonus turn. Ramza (capricorn) runs up and smacks his face, 82% chance to hit, 192 damage. Awesome. Velius walks behind ramza and smacks his back. Some demons move but they are almost out of range. My team goes. Only one girl can make it up, smacks velius for 208. None of the others can reach. Two geomancer for 50-ish damage, one geomanceys 2 demons, and petrifies them both! Yes! I spread them out. Velius Charges clops. Remaining demon lifebreaks for like 40. One girl smack him midcharge, 252 damage. I spread all the girls out and geo some more, for about another 150 damage. I've done 800 before clops goes off. One girl in range will be killed y clops, demon retreats. Clops goes off, girls are spread, one dies. Geomancy 3 more times. about 950 ish damage. Demon comes down gigaflares one girl, she dies. Move girls to side, geo twice...death scream. I beat that SOB! In my 20s! With storebought equips! Ramza's death counter was on 0, if I had waited a little longer it'd be reset time. Thank god for petrify. Roof 2 resets. Put bracer and judo outfit on ramza. Try to critical a assassin before anyting happens. Rafa eats a sword spirit, gets shadow stiched, then eats two sword, because she charged the assassins and tried to truth them. Yaay. Decided to do what any good waitress does if she wants a lot more tips, and strips. Gena is now nekkid. Rafa this time decided to retreat. Assassin comes down and eats Gena. Geo SCC Dagolua Pass My ranged death goddesses do their thing. Stuff dies. Choco River I am so glad I am a lot level. 2 red, 4 yellows, 1 black. Meteor cannot one shot and barely 2 shots us. One attack up hit kills everything. Good Times. Meliadoul Lot of helmets broken, but 2 statues and a lot of geomancy later, she falls. Zalmo pt 2 You know whats funny? him not doing much and in range of all my geomancers. One geo coudn't hit him after his first move, but he oblidgingly moved into range at like 80hp. Delita killed a knight with crush punch. Balk2 resets Brain fart on my part. Didn't equip properly, and he dodges a 82% smack from the front when in not quite critical right before ramza crystallizes. I equipped my ice shield but didn't have the proper accessories, killed him easily this time. Betha North Wall I always do north wall. My low levels + ninjas = bad. I had ice brands on 3 people, but I went to heal a lady who had been criticaled, and she counter flooded stopping her healer. Oops. That geo lady got killed by a jump, but all of the enemies died shortly thereafter. Sluice gate 5 or 6 resets. Yeah... first appearances of flash hat and really noticing it. Keep losing someone since I not only have to kill but hit the switches, and I don't wanna try to carve model the knights because that would be bad. My winning run I got a counterflood that stopped an archer, and after that it wasn't bad. It is, so far only a few stopping points, and if I had played more carefully or gotten anywhere near level caps it would be a lot easier I;d imagine. --- That was the greatest post I have ever read on these boards, Effy. I laughed, I cried, I ate a whole gallon of ice cream. KrossRoads |
