The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Okay, I'm trying to use the glitch that lets you rescue smithy's partner in Phase I of the game, but for some reason it isn't working... I'm doing the glitch correctly but when I leave the cave and am outside the smithy's house, Light World music is still playing and entering the house doesn't do anything.

Any help is very appreciated. :(

Hey, wait. You said the Light World is still playing. That's the problem-WC is NOT active. To trigger WC, you need to go to the DW (if you entered a LW cave and exited into a DW cave, WC will be working the other way-use the Magic Mirror once to correctly set yourself in the DW). When you're completely in the DW, then you go from a DW cave to teh smithies'. When you exit, you should see the LW, but should hear DW music playing. That's where you go straight inside the house to meet the world-confused smithy.

Well I'm entering the Swamp Palace via Hyrule Castle, because I can't enter it normally due to the fact that I can't seem to get the hookshot from the Water Dungeon, nor can I get the Ether medallion to even access it.. I'm using the STEG by the way.

I usually do my WC stuff from the final part of the Skull Worlds dungeon.
