Dragon Master, Duelist, Magus.
Any stat downs make the game a faceroll.
If you want a non-cheese team do Light Hawk (either) Dark Angela(either) and Paladin Duran.
Hawk double hits, making him kill things too easily. Light Hawk has access to Counter Magic, which makes most of the boss fights laughably easy.
Dragon Master, with her low strength, single-hits, and Single Target stat-downs is a much crappier character than either of Hawk's Light classes.
Paladin can heal, albeit ST, and has Saint Saber, and can use Shields.
Duelist only gets Dark Saber, which sucks.
Dark Angela, specifically Rune Master, has access to DeathSpell, which again, makes boss fights much easier. Plus her Level 3 spells do a crap ton of damage.
Magus is the only way to go for a challenge.
Well, being as you don't specify that you must class change, I'd say, a party with no class changes. Personally, I'd pick Lise, Duran, and Hawk, though that's certainly open to argument. Lise is basically the 4th-best melee w/o class change, but the two below her both get spells in their base class, making them useful. (Though to be fair, Carlie's HL is ST in this form, mitigating her use... some.) Kevin's base class can still transform at night, making him top dog, IMO, so he's out. Leaving Duran (no spells) and Hawk (ditto). Switching Hawk out for Carlie or Angela could be viable, given that limited MP will make Angela a short-lived bonus, but I'd still put a lot on her in boss fights.
And, of course, any team going for 'worst' should be assumed not to use stat-up items or MTHL items.
Actually, I've never tried not class changing. Does your hp/mp still go up, even after you should have no excuse to not CC? If not, this is an entirely BS post.

Hard to have a bad team tbh.
Only thing you could possibly hope to do is have major overlap.

Any team with Dragon Master + Magus is not bad since the dragon summon + Meteor will kill anything on the screen. The poison status tends to somewhat reduce counter.
I don't this there's an absolute worst team, all classes are meant to complement each other. Sude, sometimes skills overlap each other.
Rather than worst possible team, I'd like to think of "hard" teams.
What I think the "hardest" team is:
Let me explain:
The basics: no healer or stat up/down magic . This team is not a magical oriented party, nor a physcial oriented party, it's a hybrid.
Thing is, you can pull out a decent fight with Death Hand + Rogue, or a decent magical fight with Rogue + Magus. Either way, it's hard, since most spells are ST. Even with Ancient in the party's arsenal, it simply uses too much MP. And if the party chooses to attack physically, it'd be some sort of waste to have the Magus around.
A great strategy would be to cast MT-Sleep Flower right in the beginning of a battle, followed by another magic combo with the toughest enemies; Death Hand + Rogue should finish the remaining enemies.
This party is extremely flexible, but I'd only say advanced players could make it trough.
