how do i use it?
and can i only mine rocks in the abandoned mine?

also another thing that in wondering..

in astral cave you can find stones on the blue crystals, and minerals in the abandoned mine..

are there any other random pick-ups you can get that arent in treasure chests??

Equip the Pickaxe as an accessory. Then when you face a dungeon wall with a mine-able ore in it, push A and you will get the hidden ore like a treasure.

You can mine in:
Secret Mt. Metox Cave
Astral Cave (?)
7-Star Ruins (?)

The (?) are what I think I remember. There's probably more. And other than treasure chests, pickaxe-ing ores, and big crystals... I can't think of any other method of gaining treasure in dungeons.

i recall someone in the game telling me that herbs can be found by examining plants or something but i never found any like this.. can anybody shed some light on this?
