Fantasy_ShadowPosted 1/26/2008 4:09:59 PM | My Super Mario RPG had been acting great until I got to Booster Tower. Now, whenever I go to equip a new weapon for my party members the game freezes. This wouldn't be so much of a problem had I not just acquired the Masher and Chomp and were about to face those two clown bosses.
It had frozen once or twice before, but not this bad. Does anyone know to fix it?

Super SlashPosted 1/26/2008 4:47:21 PM | Not really. Sorry. It may sound stupid, but try going somewhere other than Booster's Tower (like the Mushroom Kingdom) and equipping the weapon. If that doesn't work, I really don't know what to tell you. Can you load a save state while the game is frozen? If so, then save a state before equipping the weapon, then try to equip it. If it freezes, simply load the state and try equipping it again. Repeat until it works (if it works, that is).

Fantasy_Shadow (Topic Creator) Posted 1/26/2008 5:32:11 PM | Thanks for the advice. I tried going to Moleville and doing it, it didn't work. I'll try heading farther back to like Mushroom Kingdom and such.
Oh, and I DO own the real game [Sitting in my closet right now], but I lost my SNES a few years back and haven't gotten my hands on a used one yet. Hence why I'm playing on a sucky ROM.
