How come Uncharted Sandstretch is like 10x harder than Sandshroud?

And yet it still gives barely more experience if not less?

Because you're going to Uncharted far too soon. Later in the game when you're supposed to go to Uncharted it'll still give you the same exp, but the other area, Sandshroud, will give you virtually nothing.

Really, I beat Sandshroud on Chaos with no major difficulty. When I got out I thought "hey, I'll take the chance and kill some of these random enemies, I guess". Aaaand enemies were hitting me for 8k damage.

Sandshroud is the dungeon with the coloured light puzzles. Uncharted is the road with the sole purpose of leading to Sandshroud.

Oh ya, now I remember.

Thought he was talking about that other desert area.

In that case I'm just gonna have to say you have the wrong group composition. I actually found it to be the opposite. I had far more problems with Sandshroud than Uncharted. Uncharted is pure melee, you can keep away and destroy them without ever being hit. Sandshroud has ranged guys, and they knock you out of spells pretty easily. I found it much easier to stunlock and juggle the guys in Uncharted than Sandshroud.

Because their giant turtles are very strong. Stronger than the enemies there. It probably just stomped on them and went on its way.

If you are level 50ish, you can take the scorpions in the Sandstretch. I actually just farmed about 20-25 for the Soul Orb of the scorpions there while gathering the sparkles there, and trying to get the Frozen Rain Master.

If you keep encountering scorpions, you may get an instance with Two Scorpions, or even just One Scorpion.

I used Malik, Asbel, Cheria, and Sophie, and managed to take out two scorpions at level 50 with this group. I looked in the book, and was like "Holy cow"......when I read they are level 120. If you keep using ice moves, and have Sophie revive anyone dead AS SOON AS they die, it's very doable at 50. Just got to have everyone focus on one scorpion at a time, try to get the other in an AoE if you can, and just keep whaling on the scorpion you are attacking. You can go the whole fight without it getting much of any attacks at all if you keep freezing and stunning it.
