Miso Stew and Eleth mixer progress.

I've seen people saying that miso stew (i think) is the best thing to put into the mixer for fast growth. Ever since then i've been wondering what makes it the best. Which eventually also led me to thinking what makes it progress? Is it quality, quantity or dish specific?

So quality, meaning one miso stew which costs 100+ eleth is better than 2 20 eleth dishes.
Quantity, meaning any 2 dishes give more progress than 1.
Specific dishes?

I'm looking for a best way to do this and i think i've found it at last, but not sure what dishes to choose.

By the way, right now i'm using this set

Mabo Cury (Just to save my self the trouble of ressurecting in case i die)
Paella (lame dish, but low cost and cooks after 10 sec in battle)
Fried Rice (Same as above)
Miso Stew (I use it but not yet sure why, after battle use if eleth is 50% or more)
Quiche (After battle use if eleth is less than 50%)

Book of Growth (gives at least a little progress after each battle for only 10 eleth)
Book of potential (increases progress for dishes cooked in battle)
Book of Satation (can cook 2 dishes per battle)

Optional:
Book of restraint (1/4 dish effect 1/2 dish cost, handy since of of above books double the cost)
Book of dissolution (turns any excess items into eleth, handy as it keeps the eleth reasonably high in higher lvl dungeons)
Book of expansion (Adds slot progress?)

Simple, the books are self explanatory and the end result in most battles is 2 dishes in battle, 1 post battle(Standart cost, increased exp) + some static bonus for book of growth.

So far the best i could think of, feel free to share any better ideas if you have any.

Miso Stew's Cost:EXP ratio is 99:94, ~50:94 with the book of frugality

Book of Restraint reduce the exp you gain from dishes. Switch it for Book of Frugality which doesn't cut exp gains.

Shinarouji FAQ has a detailed cooking section with exp gains. The google doc is also ok.

Put Miso Stew, Pasta au Gratin and Miso-Glazed Cod in the mixer (with the Book of Frugality and Book of Satiation).

Your goal is to get into a fight where you can finish the enemy quickly, while getting in 40 hits. The best way to do this is to have 4 Huberts spamming Rolling Thunderbolt. The place at which you do this is entirely dependent on your level. I did my grinding in Ghardia Shaft: Center (I was level 200, had the worst weapons, a half stat book, and was on Chaos mode, and was able to easily get 40 hits on any of the enemies. Just try not to get hit).

I used Split Infinity's guide. That's the best and fastest way to do it.

"Thanks to the tip from MacroCosmos I ave slightly better alternative.

- Miso-Glazed Cod
- Sweet and Sour Eel
- Book of Frugality (eleth used for cooking is halved)
- Book of Potential (hastens Mixer's development whenever dish is cooked in battle)
- Book of Satiation (cooks two dishes per battle)

Fight Rockgagong. My party is Cheria, Sophie, Asbel and Hubert. At start of battle Cheria stands back near edge of battlefield and chants up Divine Saber, while other three run up to Rocky and start comboing. Wait for two dishes to cook (at 40+ and 50+ combo), and then escape from battle. Your mixer will raise by 10~11 pts per battle. Once you get the hang of it, you can squeeze in three battles in under one minute. And you get +1 MAX HP per battle to boot.
Note: This works until you hit 9000 Eleth, then the EXP needed increases further.

Don't use Book of Restraint, it cuts dish EXP gained.

When you run out of Eleth, warp to Oul Raye and charge at nearby inn, then return to Rocky for rematches."

Thanks for the tips about the books and the exp ratio, that's the answer i was looking for!

As for the food, anything requiring combos is not really a "healthy" alternative for most people. I only pull off ~40 combo in 1/3 or 2 fights (not on future arc by the way so 4 hubers are impossible), it's a chance meaning that whatever that dish gives may be divided by 3 so that's not really effective.

Just to point it out i'm more or less autotraining. I'm not doing anything, just following the screen in case something goes wrong. The party is on auto mode, so i'm trying to go for the most automatic mode (by the way with this set up i never ran out of eleth).

There are a lot of great suggestions here. Here's what worked for me:

Crab Fried Rice (Battle>10s)
Fried Manju(Battle>20s)
Miso Stew (Eleth >50%)
Quiche/Chicken Curry (Eleth<50%)
Book of Potential
Book of Growth

Managed to max my mixer in around ~100hours. Not that fast I know but I did not notice it getting to 9999 because I was busy farming roleplaying doll materials and tempering stuff to sell.
