Not having weapons carry over

I actually have mixed feelings...
on one hand I like that I won't start new game+ and be bored for the first 60% of the game at least because my atk stat is off the charts
on the other hand, I hate how you only get the ultimate weapon for like 1% of the game...

IMO that's terrible design...
I wish they did something similar to Radiant Mythology
restrict equips based on lvl
so if I new game+ I'll have old weapons in my inventory, but I need to reach a certain lvl to use it again

also...music in this game...SIGH
it's not bad...it's just REALLY not memorable
so far I think TotA's battle theme has the most impression on me
Interestingly enough I played TotA the least (not that the game's bad, just never put in that much time)

If you inherit stamps, you can purchase Rare weapons/armor very early in the game. You can also generate the items required to make the ultimate weapons relatively easily if you inherit books, upgrade the mixer, and use the Book of Fortune. Granted, it's not the same as getting all of your gems and dualized equipment from your previous playthrough, but I don't really see the fun in blazing through the early game with overpowered equipment. There are plenty of other grade shop purchases that let you do that anyway. AFAIK, only Vesperia let you inherit weapons, and it made sense in that case because you learned skills through weapons.

The only song I can remember from this game is the first port song.

I just don't like the idea of losing items that took a lot of effort to get in the first place
what I was saying is I wish they could restrict access to weapons so although I carry over things like Excalibur I won't be able to use it until let's say lvl 45

I'm mainly saying this because of the whole dualizing system they implemented
right now I don't have an incentive to dualize equipments past like lvl 5 because I don't need to, and I'll just lose it later

Weapon transfer makes more sense for Graces IMO (Put more emphasis on Dualizing). In Vesperia you could get the weapon again or just master skills before doing New Game +.

And please don't respond to this with "You're young, you won't get it".
A good argument doesn't need 5 years to become effective.

I remeber the battle themes, barona catacombs, barona castle (Normal and dungeon) and Zhonecage. off the top of my head. Just about as many as any other game I've played. XD

Oh and costume themes

I honestly don't understand this complaint at all. You simply don't use your updated weapons if you don't want want things to be super easy for you in subsequent runs.

I would much rather be able to make that choice for myself rather than the game makers taking that decision away and negating hours upon hours of farming and dualizing. I was pissed when I realized that I wasn't going to be be able to carry over my buffed up equipment.

Vesperia did it right by giving you the option to carry over your equipment in the grade shop. You could choose for yourself either way.

I like the soundtrack. Especially the one that plays in Strahta Desert Ruins. Something about it makes me feel nostalgic.

The point isn't so much that the developers did good by taking away that option, but rather that it's nothing worth getting angry over. They gave you plenty of other grade shop options that are at least functionally equivalent to having overpowered weapons in the early game (especially inherit skills, which will give you hundreds of bonuses to each stat and increased CC to boot). It's not ideal, but it's not worth complaining about either.

(I didn't want to give off the impression that I disagree with or don't understand the argument on the other side.)
