Is This Game Still Broken?

I know when this first came out it had a game breaking glitch that ruined your save data.

Did they patch / fix the problem?

I was thinking about picking it up but I won't bother if there's a chance I'll lose all my progress randomly.

I bought Shift2 at launch, and haven't lost my game save or any other data.
The autolog was a huge problem for me for a while, though.

It's a really fun game. Ease into it, and I wouldn't advise playing any other racing games while you're going through the learning curve... :)

Thanks for the response.

I've played it briefly and found it pretty enjoyable especially from the helmet cam. The races get pretty intense because of the aggressive AI.

Does autolog still give you issues?

Yeah, the races get pretty intense. Night races are almost like playing a survival horror game!

As far as autolog being broken, EA was pretty helpful in resolving the issue. They reset my autolog or something along those lines. I didn't lose any info. They just purged the "news".
If autolog ever crashes your game, resist the temptation to view it until EA helps you out.

I've never had problems with save, I always back up my game saves just in case, though.
Autolog can give you problems sometimes, turning off the news thing helps (I think I turned off most notifications), if I'm playing offline modes I sign off autolog to avoid problems.

Thanks for the responses.

I'll be picking this up sometime this week when I'm done with NFS The Run.
