It just bugs me how short our games are now... lol I remember when we at least got a solid 20 hours from games... but I do like bioshock a lot... Guess I could always do trade ins...

I do not remember ever getting 20 hours from a shooter. I do remember playing a shooter good enough that the accumulated hours from multiple runs exceeded 20 though.

Edit: I feel the need to mention that duh, a fps rpg hybrid will probably hit 20 hours like fallout.

I got 20+ hours out of Half-Life 2. Using no guides and trying to find all the Lambda Caches and going for all the achievements took up way more than 20 hours. Also going through Ravenholm with just the gravity gun slowed down the pace a bit since using regular guns would help you plow through this level but only using the gravity gun is so much fun. XD

Moral of the story: there are good FPS games with 20+ hours of gameplay if you allow it to.

NEVER argue with an Idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

You don't judge a games length based on a speedrun. It should be based on a regular first time playthrough. Preferrably with completing 100% of the game.

And I'm renting bioshoc after I'm finished with my dishonored rental.

It took me 25 hours to 100% far cry 3 on first very hard playthrough. I think it took me around that long to 100% mass effect 2 and 3 on first playthrough as well.

9/10 times that it says 10-12 hours it takes me 30 or so. And when it says 30-50 hours I get closer to 100.

It really just depends on you and how you play. If its very very linear with little to explore then yeah, it's going to take less time.

Like.. Assassin's Creed 2, brotherhood, revelations.. i would imagine they are 15-20 hour games, but I spend hundreds of hours on each.
