The FOV needs to be widened in the config file. They did include an FOV slider, but it only pushes it 15 degrees above looking through a telescope.
The game can drop down to just over something like 30 or 40 fps for a split second when it's loading new assets/textures (not entirely sure what it is actually, but it's loading something, whatever) at certain points, when you step over a line.
"bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming=false" solves the problem, but breaks the games event triggers. Pool size etc may help a little, but not really. Also the game does this on any settings, probably with any hardware combination.
