Patches?

#1acangialPosted 4/4/2013 11:07:31 AM
So, I have been slow to playing this. I spent a lot of time last week making all the tweaks to in-game, NVidia control panel, and ini files. Last night I played for an hour and there are still some areas that are stuttering. The one elevator scene was actually unusually bad frame rates despite benchmark test telling me I was to expect an average of 60 FPS on my build.

With that said, did any patches come out yet for this game, especially for NVidia GPUs? I did install the latest drivers from NVidia last week, but I was wonder if 2K came out with any?

Also, sorry for newbie question, but are all patches automatically installed via Steam?

Thanks for your help.

Lol, does your ISP charge you by the letter?

"No" I guess to the patches question, but how about the steam question? Thanks.

2k doesn't care about the PC version, and neither does most of any other game developer. They ported this game from a 360 and never bothered to optimize it.

Correction, they optimized this game quite well just that it had some things like stuttering that's not because it was ported.

This game is pretty poorly optimized. There are plenty of games out there that both look and run a lot better.

Man, some of you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

From the game's technical director on the stuttering issue:

"We are now able to reproduce this issue internally.

I'd like to thank everyone who has provided information to help us track this down, and for your patience so far. I would like to ask for your continued understanding and patience while we work on mitigating the problem and testing any solution we find."

This is from a thread on the 2K forums where the technical director is in regular communication with PC gamers.

PC gamers, in general, are so damn whiny and have some unwarranted sense of entitlement.

I'm going to disagree with you but whatever you say.

All gamers have an "unwarranted sense of entitlement", and no offence, I guarantee you do as well. I don't care who you are, every one, at some point or another, has had an "unwarranted sense of entitlement". I'm sure you'd like to argue against that, and I couldn't really give a **** what you say because I wouldn't believe a word of it. If you do try to defend yourself, I only have one thing to say to it, and this is my response in advance to yours, because I know I'll be too busy to check back and see if you have replied anyway - I don't know who you think you are that you believe your **** smells better than the rest of us.

If anything, I would consider you worse than them. Because it's people like you who make such a fuss about it, whining constantly about something that to be fair, has no impact on your life what so ever. Even more so when I know you have ******* about something you feel you are entitled to.
