I understand this game is going to be micro-transaction heavy, but you can play the game for a couple hours and feel like you've seen most of it. They were obviously planning bigger things for the launch than what they released, since they talk about rescue missions, giving tours, helicopters, etc.

Anyone know what the release schedule will be like for the content?

The first DLC is already out and you can also purchase 2 more planes.   20 bucks for the DLC which includes more islands by Hawii that pretty much look like the free one.   Then you can spend more money buying the 2 new planes if you want.

I certainly hope consumers are smarter than to open their wallet for this crap.   We paid 50-60 dollars last time for the entire world with 15 planes, get that the entire world.  Nothing but a money grab by Microsoft who forgot that to be a success you need to serve your customers not rape them.

I don't know how much or how often they'll be releasing new planes or new areas. You might have more luck going to their facebook page or microsoftflight.com and asking there.

@rss0900: I'm sorry you don't seem to enjoy this game. There are plenty of other flight simulators available, feel free to choose one of those. Needlessly trashing this game in every thread is unnecessary and childish.

@EvanSent - Thanks for the words of wisdom but I think I'll stick with the "Flight Sucks" crowd on this one.   Consumers just are not getting the true picture, the Micrososft Anti-Spam brigade is working overtime to censor all negative comments on the major forums and facebook page to try to do damage control for their bad decisions.  Buyer beware!

Oh no, by all means stay with your chosen opinion, I'd never try to stop you. However, would it not be a little more productive to be playing a sim you like instead of comp..."advising future consumers" about this one?

My guess is when Micrososft realizes what a disaster this is, they will try to start releasing more and more content cheaper.   You will see offers of more content at cheaper prices and people get bored of Flight and the initial buzz from the non-sim community wears off.

Again it's a money grab, Micrososft trying to rake in as much money as possible from the unsuspecting!   Don't fall for it ~ consumer beware.  FSX for 19 bucks = the whole world throw in some 3rd party addons and your as good or better than Flight!

Then when you brought £$100000 of all the exra content Microsoft will take down its server and some how stop you playing the game. Then they will release it again boxed version for the same ammount of price.

the more likely outcome will be that they will shut down the project and in the end the few people who would have paid for content will be left with nothing.
