do only the mana reserved nodes apply, or only the ones that deal specifically with mana reservation?

your question is confusing, its like asking "is the sky blue, or is it blue?"

mana reserved, and mana reservation are the same thing as far as I can tell, so I dont see what your asking. maybe expand on the question abit.

Yeah, sorry. Tired, haven't slept in a while. Meant to ask if the reduced cost nodes applied, or only the reservation ones.

He's asking if the xx% reduced cost applies to aura reservation. No it does not it only effects castes skills not maintained.

there is a reduced reservation node which does affect reservation auras, and if you link reduced mana gem to any skill gem including auras, it reduces the cost by that percentage. if that helps anymore

To summarize:

Reduced mana reserved = affects auras
Reduced mana cost = affects active skills
The Reduced Mana Support Gem affects both mana reserved for auras and the mana cost of active skills. The quality bonus for this gem however, does not affect auras.

It's just more reduction - an extra 10% at 20% quality.
