Like, when I first saw the trailer, I knew instantly that it was a reboot. I got excited because a new take on the series would be interesting. A new take on the series could pull in more money, fans, and warrant an HD collection of the first 3 games, since I would love to have an HD DMC3. A 2 minute video wasn't enough to shake my faith in the series. Shoot, even knowing Ninja Theory is doing the game didn't bother me. It's not until we see gameplay that I may change my mind.
Why aren't more people aware that this game is in an alternate universe?
Why does it matter? It still means it's another three to five years at best before we see another Devil May Cry game in the universe people "Care" about, and odds are they've no intention of going back to that anytime soon. Capcom's wasting their and our own time with this one.
