My friend interviewed the PR Manager for Capcom Europe the other day and was able to get some information on DmC.
Some notable responses:
1. Capcom aren't ruling out Devil May Cry 5. However, it depends on DmC's success and if - at the end of the day - it was a right move for the franchise.
2. DmC is a reboot, not a prequel. In this new universe, Dante isn't born with white hair. So that confirms that Dante's hair whitens as he gets older.
3. Don't expect any real information on the game for a good year or so. Hopefully this is just PR spinning to throw everyone off the scent.
4. The reason why P* (PlatinumGames) weren't approached is because P* does the approaching if they want to collaborate. However there is a possibility that the two companies could work together in the future due to the history between them.
5. The Dante we see in the trailer isn't the Dante we all love in the sense that he's slow, cumbersome and not really adjusted to his potential. This is why the combat and his mannerisms are a bit off and rusty in the trailer. This is the raw Dante before he grew up in to a skilled fighter. |
