DmC: Devil May Cry

Its amazing how this game has split people into two (equally ridiculous) extremes. Given that its close to election time in the U.S. its actually kind of funny because thats how the political parties are.

However, I believe that the extreme pro and extreme anti are just the loudest not the most. So Im appealing to what I think is the silent majority. Who else is in the middle area that thinks DmC could go either way so we will just have to wait til it comes out?

I consider myself somewhat neutral but I lean towards the 'positive' end of the spectrum by thinking "How Capcom handled the franchise, it's customers/Fans and DLC(I rarely buy from 'anyone'), is BS and their crooked."

Just the fact that it caused such a split in the community says something. I have NEVER seen a game so negatively recieved. And i've been around a while.

I don't think "The DMC" community is split so much as segregated by new gamers who never gotten to appreciated the old series, never cared for the old series, or genuinely apathetic towards the change. The market is so much more broad now and think that most of the players who have grown with the old series and hold it to high regard, are labeled as "anti's" and will no doubt be smothered by the ignorance of the new.

I believe we all are in the wait and see camp. Because if you think that all of us aren't gonna play the free demo just to see what it plays and feels like and if it's worth playing, you're pretty naive.

But we all know when it comes to gaming that most Gamers have a hard time adjusting to change, especially if it's one of their favorite franchises. So they would rather take the stubborn and ignorant approach toward the situation instead of the logical one and that causes the fan base to divide and form groups.

So it's basically the logical ones vs the illogical ones, the negative thinkers against the positive thinks or the ones with an open mind against the ones with a closed mind.

Games are more mainstream with a wider audience, most of the New Generation of gamers are 'ignorant' as to what the original DMC is. Gamers like you who have played the old series but are fine with the change (it's ok), and people who never liked it to begin with. This is the rift in the 'New Community' as the 'Old Community" (Anti's) are not 'ignorant' and their objections towards this game are completely justifiable. They have knowledge of their objections and are not 'ignorant'(unaware) of the situation as the New Generation may be.

Lollerstar is squirming in between "I never played the old games" and "I played them enough to be a master!" and "I played them but they sucked".
Nothing he says regarding the old games can be considered informed opinion, let alone fact.
