The DmC demo wins in this case. It has more weapons, more attacks, and no Style system hindering your variety on the fly. Plus it has 3 secret missions, more enemies to fight and, even if the background is quite dull, at least it does not force you to Taste The Blood in every battle. That battle theme was terrible and you couldn't even turn it off.
Cerberus was a much, much cooler boss, however, even if the maggot has some distinct similarities combat wise.
Well, I think completely other way around, backgrounds cool, music acceptable, but enemies are really bad made, since unlike DMC 1, 3-4 they have only one attack and no variety or AI. And despite your claim Scythe, Sword and Axe are feeling like one weapon. It's still acceptable combat system but it is far behind modern H&S.
