Devil May Cry has been dead for 6 years...

Why the hell did "ad hominem" become so popular lately? One person used it and now it seems like everyone needs to use it. I'm not saying it doesn't fit, it just became weirdly popular around here lately O_o

It's one of the most recognizable fallacies. I could have went and listed others, but that might make me seem like a stuck up **** for using fancy words.

I've seen people use it on the internet for years. People normally use it to make themselves seem smarter than they actually are. It normally has the opposite effect when I see it used.

I realize that, but it seem like it gets thrown around everywhere to make people's argument sound smarter or better. I'm not insulting you, I just though it was weird that everyone started using it all of the sudden.

When it shows DMC 3, is it including the Special Edition? How do the sales of the fifth anniversary boxset figure in?

Nope. Something else to note is that charts from 2008. I did some further research and found stats from 2012.
DMC1- 2.99 Million
DMC2- 1.97 Million
DMC3- 2.09 Million
DMC3 SE- 2.21 Million
DMC4(Both Platforms)- 3.42 Million
DMC HD- 550,000

Remember these are all worldwide. No stats on the fifth anniversary boxset though. In total the series has sold 12.54 Million games. I'm sort of confused about DMC4 though because that's a pretty big boost from the 2.7 million Capcom complained about when they just announced the reboot.

Link?

Also, is there any information on how the PC port of DMC4 sold?

I haven't seen it much, then again I have been avoiding arguments which end up having strong bias involved.

It is amusing from time to time to jump into a thread and see how bad people are at trying to make a point that only holds because they feel that way.

Hard to have any concrete numbers here. With services like steam, it's just speculation outside of box sales.

Here ya go.

Seems to have sold poorly but like mmSNAKE brought up, not sure if it counts online sales. Just found this site today, shortly after finding that chart. It's pretty useful, just search up a series and you can find how much they've sold for each game or in total.

Oh, my bad then. Just found it while searching for sales, didn't know they were unreliable. I guess the chart from Capcom is the best estimate so far, even if it's from 2008.
