I have to thank the Antis, for ensuring this game's sales.

Ever heard the saying, "There's no such thing as bad publicity."

Everyone knows this board is the only place gamers exist.

Yeah that never works. Especially when it's for a $60 game.

Name a game.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (old school platformer fans were hardcore raging at the genre change); Ninja Gaiden 3; Final Fantasy XIII-2 (selling 70% less than XIII is hardly stellar); etc.

Currently going "squa squa squa!"
The DmC Demo didn't hurt my butt, it just gave it a rash. The cure? Play Devil May Cry 1, 3, and 4.

This board is reaching Lightning Returns levels. I suggest we evacuate

Please, this board has been as bad since the game was announced. You were just part of the hating so you didn't notice

Im the least volatile of all the antis.

You really aren't that bad.
Unless I'm missing some super troll rage topics/comments.

Can someone explain what an "anti" is and how anyone can be stupid enough to use it as an insult unironically?

Antis are at the bottom of the picture.

Pros are at the top.

Only difference is, that Dante doesn't exist anymore yet the anti's do.

Good enough to garner a sequel :/
SE acts like it sold pretty well, so sales must've been better than expected.
And it sold 2.8 million. Realized I'd used faulty info.

Besides, they are COD players. Their taste doesn't matter.

I just wanted to say that I think this is silly.

There is such a panicky fear about "casualization" around here. I agree that it can be dangerous for games as a whole, but, in this case, DmC really is not that bad. It is not such a travesty as so many of you make it out to be.

Whoever has that sig has it perfectly :

"Casuals enjoy video games, hardcore hate video games" or something similar, it's actually starting to become true.

Ninja Gaiden 3 didn't get neg publicity before he game was out. The #-2 games have never sold fantastically in the FF series, and it's unusual for sequels to sell more than the original (it happens though). Banjo Kazooie wasn't a AAA title so it doesn't even match up with the other ones...

...according to VGChartz. According to VGChartz, DMC 3 sold over 2.5 million despite what Capcom says. VGChartz also overtracked Resident Evil 5 by 2.5 million; undertracked Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 by at least 700,000; undertracked Halo 3 by 5 million; claims Final Fantasy XIII sold more copies than what Square Enix shipped; undertracked Diablo 3 by over 7 million; is currently undertracking Playstation Allstars by about 150,000; Undertracked Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 by several million; I could go on.

According to NPD and Media Create (you know... actually credible sources) and other numbers given by Square Enix, Final Fantasy XIII-2 sold anywhere from 1.4 to 1.8 million copies.

And Lightning Returns is coming out because it is being rushed (it has about 12 to 15 months of dev time at max), is cheap, and not doing so will cause them to lose face after XIII-2's ending.
