sillycatsteven posted...yes, but the only problem is that you can not really objectively judge "whether you can really judge a video game fairly/objectively". this is because "judging" is subjective, otherwise all you need to do is look at the facts and prove, you don't need to judge. therefore, it's meaningless to bring that question up in the first place...
and yes, you can support a claim, but the truth is, you can never prove it. the only reason we have Scientific Laws and Theories is because we haven't disprove them yet, and because we are looking at them mainly from our perspective and our dimension...
i too don't mean any disrespect... but the only reason my input didn't really do any good was because it's only a reply to an equally useless input. Sorry
in fact, i'm tired of the whole "Gameplay" argument cycle.
Game play BAAAAD.
Game play is subjective. so that argument is voided
NO, game play can be quantified.
NO, you're wrong.
NO, YOU are wrong.
"i'm 12 HUNDRED YEARS OLD" (ie, i've been DMC fan since it's first release, you n00b)
"F*** you"
"F*** YOU!"
....
so on and so forth...
You've only strengthen my point which makes me believe we were at a misunderstanding. Me asking Mage to "objectively judge this game" was sarcasm. He can't do it because its not do-able. I think you misunderstood what I was getting at earlier. The points you clarified I wholly agree with. When I first said in this post "That's because DmC's gameplay is better than DMC", I was merely trolling. I already know for a fact (ironically speaking), neither of us could be right or wrong if that's ever the case. I only brought up philosophy to further disprove games cannot be viewed objectively.
Game play IS subjective and cannot be measured. i.e. People fail to realize review scores can't be compared to each other let alone stand on their own justification.
To a certain extent, gameplay can be measured and compared but on a subjective level. But it is "to each their own."

The internet was made specifically for you...LOL...I lied.
