This game will be a decent game on it's own, but a crummy DMC game.

Many people won't like the story, some will.

It'll sell around 1.2 million copies. That won't be enough for Capcom, so they'll shelf it. They might return to it in a few years, but that'll be a while.

It'll get mixed reviews, some positive, some negative. Probably a 70-78 Metacritic.

In the end, it'll be forgotten in a few months, left with DMC2 in a closet somewhere.

This is exactly what is going to happen, or the game won't move at all as I noted on my other topic.

Just imagine Capcom going back to that closet and finding out that the two games murdered each other in there. Who would win?

But yeah, basically what KA_ME_HA_ME_HA said: it'll be okay, but it won't do well. Of course, it depends on what you mean by well: if it outsells Heavenly Sword, I'd say it'd sold well for a Ninja Theory game. If it doesn't meet Capcom's estimates, it'll be considered bad. If it doesn't meet fan standards (as far as the ones who actually played the game), it'll be considered bad. Perspectives!

It'll probably be shelved and/or Capcom will get mad at the fanbase for not accepting change, even though many of us told them we didn't want that change.

And TamTam will throw another hissy fit like with HS and Enslaved, whining that it's never, ever his fault that anything bad happens.
