Bayonetta was only 30 fps too. Don't overreact.

5fps or 60fps Bayonetta is still an amazing game.

Thats BS, You're almost like Itsuno when he said 30fps feels like 60fps.

30p and below is not enjoyable! That's why we hate DmC.

There are more reasons than that.

it was 30fps for the PS3 (thanks to Sega) but the X-Box 360 was 60fps.

It was 60 fps when you were standing still, otherwise the frame rate was all over the place. Hell, at times it can drop as low as 30:

Uhm...what?

In this video the only times the framerate goes below 50 is:

-during cutscene, which are locked at 30fps, duh (Revengeance does the same)
-during non-playable setpiece/intros/summons (which makes the drop irrelevant)
-with a particular special-effect-heavy attack of a boss

You have to install the game because Blu Ray Read speeds are too slow for 60FPS.

Huh?

A Blu-ray disc is read slower because it has more... pores than other discs. Also, the drive's laser is thinner.

That's not how it works in nearly all cases. It's to help with streaming assets and with loading. And yes, that's because the BR drive is slow. That doesn't necessarily have anything to do with frame-rate, especially in games with sections that have been entirely loaded.

Also, something I never knew, the cutscenes in DMC4 run at 30 frames on the 360... gross:

It still plays at 60, which is more than can be said about DmC on either console.

Oh, I'm not making any comment towards the quality of the game. I was just making an observation. The game still runs like a dream. Most likely, the cutscenes were compressed due to the fact that the 360 doesn't have a Blu-Ray drive. An argument could be made that the PS3 version's detriment is it's forced install.

Which means that they are real time. Weird considering that there are no alternate costumes.

It still drops, lol. Anyway, the game's framerate is inconsistant, especially for the amount of fuss people make about it.

Who's making the fuss? The three of us here at Gamefaqs that actually like the game? Almost any conversation on the internet about DmC devolves into a hate-fest within 3 minutes. It doesn't have even 1/10 the amount of love and adoration that Bayonetta has.
