Bayonetta was only 30 fps too. Don't overreact.

I know the times have changed but f***, for a studios fourth game (An independent one like NT at that) DmC is a damn fine showing.

4th game or not, they've had 10 years to get their **** together and they still can't.

You mean with two critically acclaimed games?
They seem to be doing fine.

How many copies did those games sell again?

Critical acclaim means nothing if you don't make money in this business.

Who's making the fuss? The three of us here at Gamefaqs that actually like the game? Almost any conversation on the internet about DmC devolves into a hate-fest within 3 minutes. It doesn't have even 1/10 the amount of love and adoration that Bayonetta has.

Did you ever stop to think that there's a reason for that?

o.O I own Bayo for the PS3, and have NEVER had a frame rate issue.

By that definition Platinum must be an absolutely sub par studio as well.
They have one thing in common; critical darlings, but their games typically dont sell worth a damn.

There was a video comparison.
I don't remember the which was which, but between Bay and MGR one had much worse FPS fluctuation while the other had more tearing.

Bayo X360 (the PS3 should never be mentioned in this kind of discussions) has framerate almost always in the 50-60 range and a decent amount of screen tearing.

MGR:R PS3, as said, has framerate almost always in the 50-60 range and pretty much no screen tearing.

MGR:R X360 has framerate almost always in the 50-60 range with an average slightly higher compared to the PS3 version but with a lot of screen tearing.

Thank you.
I think this is the second time you've reminded me which was which.
:)
I'll try to commit it to memory.

Oh that port...
Loading; JUST TO PAUSE THE GAME.

:( I feel like I never really got to play it as I only ever played the PS3 port.

That the PS3 version hadn't from the beginning an option to install the game on hard disk (which the X360 version had and didn't even really need) has always baffled me. It was even more absurd since for some reason the game had to load everything and the loading times were looooong.

I'd love to play Bayo the way it should be played but I can't force myself to buy a X360 only for one game (also lack of money). :(

The thing Shadow, Platinum has great gameplay.
NT has... uhh...
Nothing.
Absolutely nothing. Aside maybe visuals, and there are more companies that push out great visuals.
