Soooooo what if DmC does well with reviews????

Hypothetically speaking, lets say it gets 8-10 scores from all gaming sites, mags and other publications and the consensus is that the combat and story are awesome despite how many feel after playing the demo. For those who aren't impressed with it, after reading a consensus tipping towards DmC's favor, would you give it a chance then? I'm asking this because personally (as a DMC fan myself) I personally loved the demo and so far most of the previews from gaming sites for this game have been pretty positive. I maybe wrong but I have a feeling that the game is going to get praises for its combat and story. Personally the DMC franchise was never strong on its story so I'm excited to see what NT has done with it. And the combat (although different) is pretty damn good (just my opinion). Also, I'm late on this but why the heck did this game get such backlash on that sex scene? I viewed it the other day and didn't see the big deal...just curious | |

Because DMC is squeaky clean and only for clean animu bishounen boys. I'm joking. They're giggling to themselves over a sex scene and running around saying f** you to each other like a 10 year old who's just seen South Park for the first time. ;p They might just not be mature enough to handle the subject matter, (I actually apologize this message is much snarkier than I intended XD) If it gets good reviews they'll just blow it off as Capcom having paid off the reviewers. I automatically discount any review that gives a 10 as perfection is not possible. I wasn't sold by the demo (I do like Limbos surreal look) but combat felt watered down. If there is enough positive user reviews I'll give it another chance and rent it. The problem with the sex scene is it seems force and a shallow attempt to come off as mature (like the cussin'). I've noticed that the sex scene video is getting tons of dislikes... I believe most of such dislikes come from haters who will dislike anything related to DmC, lol. So, nothing new right there. Well, the problem with some scenes being leaked, is that they have no context. They really don't know how to promote the game at all. That scene is relevant for the future, considering that one of the bosses (aka Killing Face) is Mundus and Lilith's kid. So, it's not that they're just displaying sex appeal for our pleasure. Actually, sex is good, I advice some people really trying it someday. It's amazing, lol. As for reviews, we all know what's going to happen. Haters will ignore the positive ones and pros will focus on ignoring the negative ones. Any good review is someone being paid by Capcom, according to antis, lol. So, it's a lose lose situation. Fact is that I've seen a lot of good reviews not giving the movie a 10, but saying good things about it. I'm curious about how much it'll sell. | |
Hmm....I can understand that the sex scene seemed forced but damn the backlash was really insane lol. I don't think I've ever seen a game (that looks and plays well) get so much hate. People really want this game to fail even if it turns out good. That is absolutely mind blowing to me lol. | |

Hey I apologized within the same post when I noticed how inflammatory it was getting :p I didn't intend for it to sound so bad. Rather; yeah out of context the sex scene looks a little forced, we can't really call it pointless or anything though as we don't know everything else that fits in around it. I disagree about the cursing considering the biggest offender is Poison; and that seems to be her shtick. Everybody else cusses yeah (Well I've yet to see Vergil or Kat curse.) but it's not as prevalent as some would have you believe. But yeah; the reviews won't change anything. I don't think the reviews will have a say in how bad or good this game will do. The DMC community is very tight-niche one. And I believe the majority of old and new fans have made-up their minds as to whether or not they're going to buy/pass/rent this game a long time ago. | |

When something doesn't help their cause, it's not reliable. When it helps their cause, it's more than reliable! I guess we should ignore them and wait for reviews, though. :) |
