Dark_Epathy posted...You know it is inferior. To tolerate this inferiority is telling Capcom that they can lower the standards even further next time.
I have different priorities when it comes to games than you and the other antis--that's all.
Looking at the game holistically, I like it. The gameplay is good enough for me. I was never one to extensively play with the systems of the older games. I was never one to push them. This game is enough for me. I'm satisfied with it. Obviously I cannot logically make an argument for 30 FPS being better than 60, for example. When it comes to video games, there is obviously no argument there.
If your numbers are strong and you guys win out, then the direction you enjoy will thrive. If it doesn't, it doesn't. I'm sorry. The market will decide if this new take on the series makes it or not. But, taking the whole product into question, I think it's a decent game that deserves my support.
Capcom relies on the money of the majority. They're a bigger company than they were before, meaning they need safer, more reliable methods to make money and reap profits.
And don't mistake me, either. Once this game is released, I will be just as critical of all its facets when I play it. I may not be as passionate about it as others, but I'm not above seeing its flaws. They're just not enough to make me think the game itself is a wasted effort.
Man, that was well put!
