Killing Dante, Every demon wished that he could kill the son of Sparda, But they never been able to. And now.. You can officially say that the original DMC games are dead and so does Dante.

Ninja Theory 'did' killed Dante, with their DmC and their new protagonist Dino. Dante will never come back again, In other words he's dead.

It doesn't mean he's in Project X Zone so Capcom is going to bring Dante back again or make DMC5. Project X Zone is probably the last game we will see Dante in.
