It's the same score that DMC1 and DMC3 got. They all got 9/9/8/8. DMC4 actually got the highest with a 9/9/9/8.
What about DMC2?
No idea, but to put things into perspective, NG1 got 9/8/8/8, NG2 got a 9/9/8/8, NG3 got 9/9/9/9. Bayonetta got a perfect score with all 10s. GoW2 got a 10/9/9/9 and GoW3 got a 10/10/9/9. RE6 got a 10/10/10/9.
See NG3 and RE6. Before someone steps in to call me a "hater" both those games were effing awful and I adore both series. Famitsu has been a sad joke for a [long] time. They get paid off much more blatantly than Western reviewers, as hard as that may be to believe.
These are like, third dimension glasses, you know? They don't really work, though because I feel like I'm still seeing stuff in whatever dimension we live in.
Ugh Famitsu... I actually use to read that back in the 90s and maybe early 2000s since I always liked the way they have multiple people review each game since odds are I'd usually have atleast one guy there with similar tastes to my on. But modern Famitsu... well to put it mildly modern Famitsu is a joke and it's a damn shame that most of the western world seems to see it as the face of Japanese game journalism.
I'm pretty sure they just set scores nowadays based on how popular each person thinks the game will be or some s***.
