Adam Sessler's DMC review.

I have no idea if the argument is still ongoing, but I agree with the guy who said that the context provided by the plot does nothing to mitigate how absurdly racist and culturally insensitive a spear-chucking tribe of African savages is in a zombie game.

Sessler has never really been a fan of the DMC series this is about his average score for the games in general.

Antis would probably be singing a different tune if they knew what he gave the other games.

You know what boggles my mind? Okay, so this Sessler guy gives off a "great, non-paid" review because he doesn't give it anything between an 8 and a 10. He's now a well-respected guy that knows what he's talking about when it comes to gaming.

Now, let the next big hissy-fit title come out and he gives that a score which goes against what the "knowledgeable" gaming populace thinks... and he's paid-off, an idiot, a casual gamer, etc. Same thing applies to IGN, Gamespot, etc. I've seen several instances where they give a favorable review to the game everyone loves, and they become a shining beacon of hope. As soon as the game everyone is supposed to hate comes around and they give it a pretty decent score... you can't spell ignorant without IGN.

I've been gaming since I was 3, and I'm 26 now. I've always played video games to have fun, not to catch hissy-fits because I can't jump cancel and frame cancel every single action in a game without being touched once on a one-hit KO difficulty (don't get me wrong though, I do love the adrenaline rush I get from Level 1-ing DMD and Infinite Climax and other super-hard difficulties in games). While I'm not blown away by DmC, just like I wasn't blown away by DMC4, I would probably Day 1-purchase it if it weren't for financial obligations (bills and kids). And while DmC takes a bit getting used to, I had a pretty enjoyable time with the demo. DmC isn't a terrible game by any means, and most of the people bashing it are the same ones who dedicate themselves to frame-canceling and jump-canceling everything. I'm not saying that isn't fun to them, but come on, I can hold my own in a DMD or an Infinite Climax at Level 1 and I don't think I'm anywhere close to pulling off the stunts we've seen from people like Brea and a few others.

I guess my point is, if the game is fun, let's judge a game based on those merits. While I don't think a professional reviewer should review a game based on their own opinion of it, I still think if they review it based on how much fun they had with a game, then that's a more-than-honest review. Heck, I'm having a blast with Anarchy Reigns right now, and didn't it get pretty low-to-average scores?

This man gets it.

Adam Sessler's DMC2 Review:

In case anyone's in disbelief. I couldn't seem to find the DMC3 one.

The question now becomes: Is Adam Sessler's opinion now "crap" since he doesn't share the tastes of every "anti" on this board?

He likes the game which is widely considered the low point of the series (DMC2), and found the pinnacle of the series (DMC3) to be on-par with this game, aka average.

Somehow I doubt it.

Lmao Adam Sessler gave DMC2 a 4/5 yet this one a 3/5. I'm playing this game right now and I have to say the combo system is so much better. Mix and matching is what makes it fun. Definitely way better than DMC2.

No professional critics are "paid off" to give a good review. The gaming industry is not as shady as you crybaby nerds think it is. Some critics actually like games.
