I miss the days of manuals being at least twenty pages or so. Sure, some people ignore them, but I like to take some time to read through them. Hell, sometimes you get a manual where the company likes to offer tips or funny bits.

Some games don't even come with manuals anymore. What's the point?

But I did and let me tell you: manuals are completely superfluous what with the advent of in-game tutorials and codex-esque things.

Plus all them trees getting slashed. That's just fab for the environment.

A lot has changed in five years. Anyway, since I first got a PS3, a lot of the manuals for the games I've bought have been lacking. The only ones I can think of that were wastes of time an paper were for the Fallout and TES games.

I sure did. Didn't care about a game manual then, and I certainly don't now. Very rarely has a game manual actually been helpful to me.

Way too many games do this now. I liked having a manual to look through (you know, for character bios, story info, artwork and stuff).
Capcom and Square Enix: Please, stop disappointing me.

No need for manuals anymore. We have tutorials in almost every game..
