There is no confirmed way to kill him.
But as far as I am aware he is very much like other Demons its a Patience game of working him down. Like for example riddling his body with Bullets one or two really dont do anything but several hundred will tax his healing.
Basically chip away at him and he will die its just a matter of getting him before he gets you that is the tricky part no one else has gotten.
I have an answer to everything whether its a good answer is entirely irrelevant

What would happen if you dropped a guillotine on his head, completely severing it? >.>

Yeah, I believe Dante's regen is slower when he's exhausted.

Well obviously he would die, he's a demon not a zombie >.>. But I'm sure there would be some explanation like, the guillotine won't be able to cut him because his power is repelling it or something. Though I'm sure if you slit his throat or shoot him in the head (which has happened) he would just shrug it off. Like I said, I'm almost positive you need an enormous amount of demonic energy to hurt him.

If it can bleed, it can die...
Sony should make a Blu-Ray less PS3. (4 min later) PS3 games are on Blu Ray disks? Wow, this explains everything. - videogamer1030

Which Dante are we talking about here? Cause in this game Vergil in this game almost got finished off with a simple impaling. Not showing off a whole lot of resilience...

No one said his heart stopped beating or that he died temporarily when Vergil stabbed him, where'd you get that from? >.>
