DmC1 is too outdated at this point to be better than other games in the series. Yes it was an excellent game for the time and I've played it hundreds of times on every difficulty setting and unlocked everything, but it's time to move on. --- "You spoony bard!" -- Tellah (Final Fantasy IV)
I loved the original series, and I could even live with the new Donte. What kills it is 30fps, it looked really choppy on the demo especially during cutscenes. Holding the shoulder buttons for weapon changes is annoying and feels like a videogame equivalent of squeezing your buttocks.
I will eventually own DmC but with it's flaws, it simply doesn't warrant the $60 price tag. Having to pay extra to play as Vergil will put it down to under $20 used before I bite.
That said, I'm glad the game is selling OK so hopefully the series continues on...(hopefully not the reboot though)
DMC3>DMC1>DMC4>DMC2 DmC can wait... --- psn:BigDaddyD-Mac "Before society can move forward, we all must agree upon the rules! Now Kneel!" -Galvatron
DMC3 was the best in almost every regard. DMC4 was far superior in the mechanics department.
If DMC3 had style switching and a less frustrating lock-on system then it would be on of my all time favorite games. --- Russian is my first language, so yes there may be a spelling error or two. I <3 Jesus.
