Tsuyoi3Posted 3/22/2013 2:57:59 PM | Hm...although I think body armor seems excessive for hq wear, i vote with EE4U. Don't really care for the shock baton either... --- Manliness transcends both space, and time. |

EE4UPosted 3/22/2013 7:11:00 PM | I have a BUNCH of questions I would like to ask but they are not related to the question at hand and are more related to stuff that has happened in the story so far. Crowbar, fire axe, sledgehammer, nail puller, fire hydrant opener... so, yeah. EE4UPosted 3/23/2013 8:28:02 AM | Wonderful, to not bombard you down with too many at once I will just ask a few at a time.
Question 01: Is the main character a guy or a girl? I noticed that not once is it ever directly stated and the closes hint given is Dick calling us bro, but someone like Dick with his "too-cool-for-school-bro" personality I can easily see calling a girl bro. Or are you purposely leaving it ambiguous?
Question 02: On the subject of identity does the main character have a name or are you purposely trying to avoid that too?
Question 02.B: If the reason given for the main character not having a name is to avoid hinting at a gender have you considered using a gender neutral name such as Alex? Or maybe even assigning a code name to use to give us a moniker while still hiding our identity such as Plasma Snake?
Question 03: What is our music player like? Up to now I have just seen it as the same one that the protagonist from Persona 3 caries around with, ironically enough, Burn My Dread -Last Battle- as the last song on the play list.
Question 04: Earlier you said to "play it how you like... 'cause in the end, you can't fight the future", so does this mean you already have the ending in mind for the story? --- "Never give up, not till you wear the sky of the universe as your cape!" -Atou A. Mahogany |
GrrMan (Topic Creator) Posted 3/23/2013 4:53:45 PM | 1. The main character is you, so his/her sex/gender is the same as yours.
2. The main character is you, thus, has your name.
3. https://dyzup8v06s4q5.cloudfront.net/ver/v_10_17_18/images/products/iconhdnerd/overview/overview-2-1.jpg Basically that, a small headset with tiny buttons to go through music. There's a reason I always said you only put it on one ear. Suppose you could link it to your phone for hands-free use, if you wanted.
4. Grass grows, rain falls, wind blows, but just because we see the future doesn't mean we know it. You know what I mean? --- "Yesterday we obeyed kings and bent our necks before emperors. But today we kneel only to truth..." - Khalil Gibran |
EE4UPosted 3/23/2013 11:00:58 PM | Question 04.B: I think I understand what you mean. So what you are saying... Is that we SHOULD punch a baby square in the chops? ;-)
Question 05: During our mission involving Bosch we got to a point where this option poped up. "F. Use the ritual to prevent Bosch from ever being possessed by a demon again." What is this ritual and what would it have involved us doing?
Question 06: Do we still have our finger prints or did we get rid of them? It wouldn't be much of an issue if we wore gloves but the ones we do wear are fingerless so...
Question 07: Speaking of our fingerless gloves, does one of them now have a cut in them thanks to Chelsea? Or are they the kind that leave a bit of the palm exposed and that is where she cut us to upgrade our seal?
Question 08: What is our level of combat proficiency? Do we know any kind of particular martial arts? Are we well trained in the use of all weapons available at The Order? What has being in the Combat Branch of The Order done for us combat wise that a few hours at the shooting range couldn't have done for us if we were, that is to say, part of the Propaganda, Blackmail, Deception and Recruiting Branch of The Order? --- "Never give up, not till you wear the sky of the universe as your cape!" -Atou A. Mahogany |
Tsuyoi3Posted 3/23/2013 11:24:08 PM | Our character has many names apparently...
1. The main character is you, so his/her sex/gender is the same as yours. Also may be both male and female depending on what the other voters are...interesting...
Also seems their is a possible destiny set up for our character...we'll see... --- Manliness transcends both space, and time. |
GrrMan (Topic Creator) Posted 3/23/2013 11:24:26 PM | 5. Cutting off the left hand, the head, and removing the heart, then lighting them on fire until only the bones remain. After this, no demon can possess the body. By leaving Bosch's body in a complete state, his sister-homunculus-thing was able to absorb his flesh and bone to further the transformation.
6. Fingerless gloves, and your prints still exist. Can always change that, though.
7. You currently don't have your gloves on, ever since you visited Fletcher. I should've pointed that out more clearly.
8. Colonel Anthony has basically given you (and is still giving you) a crash course in American special forces training. You are now comfortable with every conventional weapon system available (though not necessarily proficient), your melee combat skill puts you even with the average martial artist (a blackbelt will beat your ass into the pavement, however), and physical exercise has made you capable of decent climbing, running, and evasion. Again, you're still learning. Despite having had twice the training of a United States Marine recruit (under Anthony, a top-tier instructor, as well), you don't have much field experience.
However, you are free to bring in (logical) experience from your past, as NeroBloodFire did with his elevator hack. --- "Yesterday we obeyed kings and bent our necks before emperors. But today we kneel only to truth..." - Khalil Gibran |
