Is Capcom oblivious to its situation?

Who knows? Maybe what happened with THQ will snap them out of it. One can only hope, right? *sigh*

Besdies Darksiders 2 and Warhammer, which are hardly big names and sellers, what did THQ have? You cannot compare them to Capcom.

This is Capcoms retail releases for the PS3 and my guesses:

Asura's Wrath - bombed
Bionic Commando - bombed
Dark Void - bombed
Dead Rising 2 - profit
Dead Rising 2: Off the Record - profit
Devil May Cry 4 - profit
Devil May Cry: HD Collection - profit
DmC - unknown
Dragon's Dogma - profit
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - profit
Lost Planet 2 - profit
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds - profit
Resident Evil 5 - profit
Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition - profit
Resident Evil 6 - broke even? profit?
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City - profit
Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes - no idea but probably sold like hotcakes in Japan
Street Fighter IV - profit
Street Fighter X Tekken - broke even? profit?
Super Street Fighter IV - profit
Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition - profit
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 - profit

Even if DMC sales only 1 million over its lifetime Capcom will be definitely fine. THQ they are not.

They used to make games to please us.. Now it's just mostly greed.

This is the most naive thing I've ever read on gamefaqs.

The deptment at capcom who makes Monster Hunter should be in charge of that particular idea- yeah, frontier comes out quickly, but each new game gives lots of stuff. Like Mh3 ultimate- 4 years after MH tri, new areas, gameplay, weapons and monsters. A true sequel.

Doubt they'd care enough. 1.5 or 1.25 is enough to sell nowadays.

I wouldn't say they made them to please us, they just had a standard of quality. (which they have seemed to have dropped)

But don't you agree that making money has to be the first concern when you're running a business?

You obviously never worked at a big company huh? Your comments shows how ignorant you are of the real world.

Money is of course important, but if you make that your ONLY priority, business don't last long. Ever.

Dragon dogma dark arisen IS NOT an equivalent of SSF4

Its a DLC & MAYBE, rerelease for new players
The game still plays the same, some weapon status might change a little (DD acts like older RPG, where new weapon = better weapon)
The option screen & game screen is similar & plays just like before DLC

SSF4 on the other hand, change their option screen, overall looks & new character
How is that supposed to be DLC when most of the game is tweaked to the very core of it?
