Except in this game Sparda didn't really betray Mundus. He didn't fight against him or anything. He just fell in love and ran away.

If the lieutenant of an army came in contact with a solider from the opposing army and then went A.W.O.L with said solider, would he not be considered a traitor or at least a deserter?
