Personally I find this game is completely stunning in terms of art direction. I've always had a thing for dynamic environments, and this game does things I've never seen before in a video game; specifically the dance club level left me stunned.
Not to mention the artwork in general looks great.
Say what you want about the new Dante's design, I still find that is some damn fine art.
Although, I really liked the cool juxtaposition between Dante and Vergil's character designs, what with Vergil's sleeked back white hair, and more formal attire, compared to Dante's more punk appearance.
Also thought that exposition scene visualized through the background graffiti was rad.
I agree. It's the little things that make this game a spectacle to behold. The glows on the weapons as you swing them, the particles that fly off enemies when you make contact, the cloud of smoke off the shotgun.
I'm on my fifth playthrough (Hell and Hell) and I'm still amazed at just how great everything looks as well as the animation. Dante had never looked this good.
The environments look very good, and the facial animations are really well done. Outside of that though, the character models look like rubber, and the animations are a bit jarring. --- Russian is my first language, so yes there may be a spelling error or two. I <3 Jesus.
It feels like someone swapped my contact lenses for kaleidoscopes and put six hits of acid in my orange juice. And then a few screens later **** in my eyes. --- I spread conflict and enmity everywhere I go, who am I?
