What's the explanation for the time-flux? And why does it only affect Dante yet Vergil slows down? Is it because Mundus is hella mad or just a gameplay mechanic?

I heard it's because Donte is a nephilim. Nephilim are the only things that can kill a demon king. Those hybrids now exist.

yeah, it's so stupid. They could have made it so that it was Dante using his own powers to save them, with the car still moving sloooowly and a timer for each section, but no. Time just stops, no explanation.

Dante using Quicksilver, much like Vergil using Doppleganger.

But nah, it's just stupidity on par with the rest of the game's writing. Tameem should never be allowed to pen a script again.
