Just because DmC has more moves doesn't make it better than DMC1

every time someone does the order thing, it really irks me when people say DmC is better than DMC1. The one reason they keep using is that DmC has more moves and the overall gameplay is better. "IMO," DMC1 gameplay is really solid and tight, which makes up for the lack of moves it has. This is where DmC looses to DMC1, while DMC3 barely owns (or replicates) DMC1 in terms of "solid" gameplay.

I guess the point I want to make is that the "order system" is rather broken and it always was. Each game has its pros and cons. Sometimes I wish there was a DMC game where it combined all the good things.

Dante's design is loads better in DMC1, too.

I wasn't aware personal preference could be broken. Can we call Maytag over that, or is it a specialist sort of thing?

Gamertag is Madigari, for both Xbox 360 and PSN.

DMC1 is right there with DMC3 for me. DMC3 was the pinnacle of combat enjoyment for me, but DMC1 had a lot to offer in terms of art, music, pacing, variety, boss and enemy behavior.

even up till this date, I still feel none of the DMC games really matches the amount of fun I had for DMC1. It wasn't because it was my first DMC game, but the damn game actually made you feel good about demon hunting. It was one bad ass game. If only late comers understood the feeling.

If it makes you feel better, DMC3 was my first game of the series but then I found DMC1 to be better once I got around to it and got the feel of it.

Not saying DMC1 is better than DMC3, but there are stuff I wished DMC3 would pick up from the first game. It's hard because the games are made from two entirely different team.

I get the feeling a number of people assume more is better and that people's complaints are only geared towards how much moves the combat system offers.

People also like to argue DmC isn't as good as DMC3 or 4 because it has fewer moves/combat possibilities. Argument goes both ways.
