Look up how many sales Dragon's Dogma got on VGCchartz.

It is getting a sequel.

It also has lower review scores.

DD wasn't a reboot with the intent to get more sales than the previous games.

The sales of the previous games are too old to compare.

There are too many factors that have happened from then till now to do a fair comparison.

Games sales overall are way down in the economy.

People keep saying the install base is bigger.

They forget a good percentage of those people don't play H&S games.

I know a lot of people that just use their console for Netflix now.

GOW sells 5 million on one platform alone. CoD sells millions despite the economy, so did many games from late 2012. This game is supposed to attract a larger audience. No competition this month

All of this points to DmC selling well. It's not.

ITT: Excuses

That is your argument to my point?

Seriously?

Sounds like you have an excuse for having no argument.

This, this is what people seem to keep misunderstanding.

They act like the passage of time is going to significantly increase the sales of DmC.

Its rare and also sales are not caculated from first week they are caculated from its first month

Read this Pes.

That is how you argue a point back.

And I never said sales were great.

I said they may end up being good enough to get a sequel when all is said and done.

I think it might even get one,but I'm not sure if it'll be the next DMC. Capcom might finally get their heads away from their butts and do DMC5>DmC2>DMC6.

You know, the smart thing to do.

If they wanted to make DMC they would have.

You don't think they will take 1 mill sales and great reviews for a game they outsourced and double up on that.

I would.

They completely uprooted the series and gave it to someone else for the sole purpose to INCREASE appeal and sales.

It has had the opposite effect.

I have a lemonade stand and I'm selling 100 cups a day.

I want to make more so I switch to a fruit punch stand but I'm only selling 25 cups a day.

You have to be brain damaged to not understand that you would go back to what was making you more money.

really. that`s all you got. I don`t care if it flopps ore not. What i do care about is people like you saying it has when you don`t have the worldwide numbers. And picking on my grammar and spelling. I have said on this board may times that my spelling and grammar sucks and i don`t care

Except you already proved yourself wrong?... That 450 thousand or whatever it was was a WORLD WIDE figure. Go look it up on Vgchartz.

Games don't increase in sales after the first week. And Dead Space 3 hitting next week is only going to hurt it worse.

I newer said i had facts. I said what the all mighty Pros and antis are saying in there topics. And this Vgchatz. i doubt that the have every country in there list. Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Russia, Germany, Franc etc. And the sales of every city in the countrys that has a game store.

And people are forgetting that many people have no job. The economy is still bad in most parts of the world= Cant buy the game at launch ore are waiting fore a price drop

So you believe GTA V won't sell crap loads? MGR? Bioshock? The economy means just one thing and that is folk won't buy rubbish games. It's common sense to be honest.

1. No they're not. DMC4 came out on the same console and DmC was created specifically to outsell it.

2. Oh one of these points THERE'S LOTS OF REASONS IM JUST NOT GOING TO LIST THEM

3. Capcom wanted 5 million. Then they wanted 2 million. They knew the economy. They still wanted those sales. Excuses.

4/5/6. It is. It's far bigger.

"On May 14, 2008, Microsoft announced that 10 million Xbox 360s had been sold"

We're at 75.9 million as of December.

So there were 2.6 million hack n' slash fans in 2008. Capcom's strategy was not only to get all of those back but to also increase and gain more. With 7 times the install base on 360 and whatever the number on PS3 is they have failed to do so. So somehow those 2.6 million fans disappeared on top of according to you there apparently being no sizable hack n' slash fanbase out of a combined 140 million people owning a 360 or PS3.

Any way you slice it Capcom failed at their goal and were more successful with DMC4.

Well the smart thing to do would have been to make DMC 5 in the first place.

I don't care what they do as long as they don't just kill off the series.
