It would be a game I probably never would glance at or maybe pick up one day for 9 dollars.

I wouldn't think it would be great, I'd think of it as an average hack n slash game but I wouldn't hate it as much as I do now. I really don't get why they didn't change the name when you consider DMC was suppose to be Resi 4 but it was so radically different from Resi they changed the name. Hell even if you go back further to a game called Street Fighter '89, sequel to the original Street Fighter to Final Fight it became its own popular franchise.
