Verdict:
Though some fans would like for DmC to be rated lowest, it comes out on top in this generation of console gaming. Even if it had come out on the ps2 as the original highest ranking DMC had, it'd still score higher due to nothing being like it. In the past, DMC was the only game that had a excellent combat system, that is, until God of War arrived on the scene.These old installments can not hold a candle to the reboot due to their outdated features, even revamped, these games feel stale and can't withstand the test of time.

DmC triumphs over the past installments and earns it's title as the Great reboot. Haters May Cry but there's no stopping the excellence of this game. .

With this logic, Call of Duty Black Ops destroys every DMC game ever made, and Wii Fit is the greatest game ever made.

People are buying the game, the scores are way higher, but the category is different.

If we go by popularity Call of Duty automatically wins. By sales, COD automatically wins. By scores, COD wins.

Reviews are just opinions...They hold no more weight then what you or anyone else thinks. If you want to prove which is better you'd have to count sales in the equation.

They sort of are. By comparing said games, we can say Bayonetta and God of War are basically the same game. You cant have an action game with emphasis on style and rankings compared to a more story-orientated (and a bad one at that) with an emphasis on...I'm not even sure, combat in DmC is piss easy.

Same aimbot simulator that's released every year and is solely affecting the industry. Have nothing against the game itself, but the fact that it's the same thing released again and again makes newer installments mediocre in comparison. I could have also used New Super Mario Bros as a comparison.
