Giving Enemies aerial evades or blocks to prevent infinite combo's or jump cancelling forever.
Blades from DMC1 had it to stop you from doing High Time+Shooting until they die. They would leap away.
DMC3 Vergil, while not being able to be hit in the air per se, had a move similar to just guard to stop the player from infinitely combo-ing him.
Now, give all enemies this ability, Nothing that can actually damage the player, (otherwise SS ranks would be nigh on impossible) just something to stop the combo.
It will be a random chance as to whether or not they evade.
20% chance as a base for all enemies.
+5% for mid-tier enemies +10% for higher tier enemies
Difficulty would also play a factor
+20% on normal +40% hard +60% on DMD/H&H
The minimum chance would be a weak enemy on easy getting a 20% chance, to a strong enemy on DMD getting a 90% chance.
After said move, enemies would do a dodgeable attack, or move around dodging the players counter attack, whatever happens first. This was all they needed to spice up the gameplay, not a reboot. --- Ieyasu......Ieyasu..... IIIIEEEEYYYAAAAAAASSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!
Out of those 2, i had the most fun playing as Kenshin in SB3......oh wait. (ok i'm pretty biased in that respect)
Off topic stuff aside, what do we think of the idea? Ways to improve it? How would you change the gameplay? Care to troll me more? --- Ieyasu......Ieyasu..... IIIIEEEEYYYAAAAAAASSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!
Hmmm, maybe keep it off the lower tier enemies then? Not like this makes a difference, Capcom isnt going to come waltzing in and go "YES!!!! BRILLIANT IDEA!!!" --- Ieyasu......Ieyasu..... IIIIEEEEYYYAAAAAAASSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!
