To answer your questions on why it didn't do as well as the others, it's because the game wasn't made for DMC fans. They were attempting to bring in a new audience while hoping that the old one would buy it just because it's called DmC: Devil May Cry. And they failed.

Also, insulting and ridiculing your established fanbase isn't a smart marketing strategy. --- Not changing this sig until Little Big Adventure 3 is announced. In other words, never.

Given that this is a reboot, the only thing that disappointed me was of course his hair. I'm assuming he's younger than he was in the original Devil May Cry, so the immature acting and carefree attitude sort of goes along with being younger.
That being said, overall I don't think it's a horrible game like everybody thinks. Sure the combat is easier (I really do miss the Styles from DMC3) and the camera sure is awkward to use most of the time. but given it's a new company I can give them some leniency. So is it worth $60, nope I don't think so but I'm glad we at least got a new Devil May Cry game and I hope if they do make a next one they'll address some of these issues

I don't like that he's such a boring tool whose idea of looking cool is to just stand there because choreographing great action scenes is really hard, you guys.
