This is what antis don't get. The game still has depth, and an awesome players still looks stylishly badass just as this video shows.

There's rebellion, aquila, osiris, eryx, and arbiter. 2 grounds combos, 2 circle moves (ground and air) which are NOT combos, 2 combos in the air. And aquila, osiris, and rebellion have holding Triangle moves. So that practically equates to 4 combos per weapon, which simplified is just, depending whether you're in air or on the ground. Whats so deep about that? It's the same ****ing **** no matter what you do. Every combo is the same.

4 per weapon? Funny, that's about how many combos DMC3 and 4 weapons have without swordmaster... Yet I doubt that bothers you because it's not DmC.

It is still there, and more moves in exchange for other abilities, that is balance. Also DMC3 had more weapons and vergil. BTW there is DMC4, which had all the styles and three, weapons, guns and nero.

Changing the goal post are we? You mentioned only number of combos per weapon, but now that I proved that wrong you're suddenly trying to change your argument.

What you've said is meaningless, my point still stands. The types of combos that you've mentioned are not the most essential of DMC's combat, and DmC is supposedly combining styles so it is a lack of moves and combos. Also lucifer and other weapons like cerberus had more than 3combos on the ground and combos on the air were introduced with nero, dante is more of 1 hit in the air.

More like both ours points still stand. You didn't say anything incorrect, which is why I didn't argue any of that post. I merely pointed out that you went and changed your argument when you realized the first one wasn't working.

First, not all weapons have 4 combos, also there are combos and special moves, DMC clearly has more special moves ( directional inputs) and style buttons. DmC has launch, couple of dial a combo type of thing in the ground and air. What that poster wanted to point out is, DmC lacks depth due to things like lacking moves and combos, which is true. You've ignored the nature of DMC's combat of having directional moves and styles to increase your options, which DmC took out completely and didn't replace.

Valid points. Doesn't mean I was wrong about the number of combos, even if it is largely irrelevant to the greater argument.
