Xtreme65 posted...I just hope your victory doesn't kill the series. I can only hope that Capcom sees how well the HD collection sold and hopefully we get a DMC5. I pray Capcom is so smart.....seeing their recent history doesn't leave me too hopeful.
RIP DMC. You were my favorite series.
I really don't see a winner in all this.
If Capcom announced a DMC5, I'll agree with you. But in all honesty, I don't see that happening due to Capcom's track record.
They've state that they've went as far as they could've gone with the original series so DMC4 is where that ended. They don't give into fans demands so that's also another strike against them.
So their only option is to accept the 1.2 million that DmC will probably make and also the money from the DmC movie if it performs well and continue with their plan or just trash the franchise all together.
If it's the second outcome, we all lose. But if it's the first outcome, we all win. because we all know that DmC is a good game or we wouldn't be in here waiting to play the DLC.
Because they'll have to start outsourcing DmC to other developers to keep up with this 2 year deadline they have planned. Hopefully your beloved PG might be one of them but I seriously doubt it. Because Capcom doesn't take well to employee's leaving their company and therefore wouldn't outsource their IP's to them.
It's a Capcom thing I guess.
