If by the normal definition of evil, this game encourages people to rebel and throw the world into chaos, as a solution to the problem of corruption and manipulation of average people ( conspiracy theories).

The best thing Capcom could do at this point is what Atari did with E.T. Bury it in the middle of the desert and never speak of it again.

It was made with the intent to experiment with the franchise and try to broaden the audience. The game by itself is not responsible for anything that happened. It's a product, with both good and bad sides.

All of you have such an issue with it, though. Take it up with Capcom. They're the "evil" ones, in this case.

As for the game encouraging people to rebel and overthrow the government. . . it doesn't. The game is trying to encourage a certain theme, which is that true freedom is worth it and can work if one has faith in people. Allowing your life to be controlled, even if it's safe, is not noble, according to the game.

That's all. It's just an idea. You don't have to agree with it. But it doesn't make the game evil or spiteful. It's just a theme. There are undoubtedly many cynical works that propose the opposite.

Salvage it by quitting crying about his hair and new style and story and appreciate it for what it is. A damn good hack and slash. All of the DMC stories are laughable and the series was getting stale. They recycled the bosses in the 1st and 4th game 50 times and the whole 2nd half of part 4 was backtracking as an overpowered Dante. NT did a great job on the game and the fighting is silky smooth and satisfying. Did the haters think they were gonna get a game that changed their life? Gimme a break. Play the game for what it is. A great hack and slash just like the other ones except for 2."wahhhh,his hair isn't silver."

Posts full of this much entertaining ignorance are the very reason I keep coming back to this board. =D
